Safety and Environment Manager Job Description

We are seeking a Safety and Environment Manager to provide oversight and drive consistent implementation of HSES systems across PACT's Minto Health and Personal Care plastic packaging manufacturing site.

As a key member of our team, you will champion and monitor implementation of the Group HSES System, including communicating with Site Management and conducting inspections and audits to ensure compliance with legal and ethical obligations.

You will assess and recommend improvements for hazardous and high-risk activities, provide oversight of critical incidents, and support the site with incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action closure.

This includes investigation of incidents affecting health, pollution, contamination, and waste management. You will also support Injury Management Processes and prepare Health, Safety, and Environmental reports.

Our ideal candidate will have knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety Codes of Practice, Standards, and associated obligations, skills in hazard identification, risk management, and incident investigation, and experience in developing, implementing, monitoring, and auditing Safety or Environmental Management Systems.

Additionally, you will have high-level computer literacy, developed administrative skills, commitment to sustainability, and the ability to work effectively and remotely from the HSES team.
