Job Summary

The Manager Disaster Adaptation Plan Coordination will lead the development of the Northern Rivers disaster adaptation plan, ensuring strategic alignment and collaboration with stakeholders within defined scope, timelines, and objectives.

  • Manage project delivery, including scheduling, resource allocation, governance, and policy compliance.
  • Develop targeted engagement approaches in partnership with regional teams and communications specialists.
  • Work closely with technical experts, councils, and agencies to embed data-driven insights and hazard analysis into planning processes.
  • Monitor and mitigate project risks and reputational concerns, providing timely guidance and strategic advice to the Director.

  • Proven experience with managing disaster/emergency initiatives.
  • Expertise in managing stakeholders within a politically sensitive context that has competing priorities and constrained resources.
