At Optiver, we're a global tech-driven trading firm with a passion for innovation and a commitment to excellence. We're seeking an experienced Production Software Engineering Team Lead to join our APAC team and lead our production software engineering efforts.

About the Role

We're looking for a seasoned software engineer and team leader to lead our APAC Production Software Engineering team. As a Production Software Engineering Team Lead, you'll be responsible for leading a high-performance development team, defining the team's strategy and roadmap, and ensuring the architecture of our production environment evolves to meet the needs of our engineers and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a high-performance Production Software Engineering development team, including managing performance, career development, and delivery
  • Define the team's strategy and roadmap, and execute that vision with your team
  • Ensure the architecture of our production environment evolves in a manner that meets the needs of our engineers and systems
  • Work collaboratively with engineers in our Europe/US offices to drive convergence of our production environments over time
  • Establish or improve feedback loops across all aspects of production management
  • Develop and deliver code to production
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Experience leading and developing a team
  • 10+ years experience in software engineering (Python would be highly beneficial)
  • Broad understanding of the wider technology, including networks, hardware, OS, databases, web servers, and applications
  • Ability to bring an improvement mindset and critical eye to complex operational challenges and systems
