About the Role

\Abstracts from this dynamic global leader in the ASX 200 Company will be responsible for various accounting and reporting activities to ensure the effective operation of their business unit or project. This crucial role supports operations by delivering accurate and timely financial information and analysis.\

Key Responsibilities

  • \
  • Maintain General Ledger and sub-ledger for allocated business units, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.\
  • Oversee Fixed Asset register maintenance, including timely capitalizations, disposals, and depreciation methods.\
  • Collaborate with Operations to deliver monthly reports (Management and Capex) and provide insightful analysis.\
  • Work with the Commercial Team to ensure project finances align with commercial expectations.\
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, and budget variance analysis.\
  • Develop and maintain Business Intelligence tools, dashboards, and data analytics.\
  • Analyze financial and operational drivers of results to drive continuous improvement.\
  • Assist in preparation of budgets and periodic rolling forecasts.\
  • Comply with monthly reporting timetables and assist the Corporate Finance Team as needed.\
  • Review external client invoicing and ensure accounting transactions adhere to MinRes policies and accounting standards.\
  • Support general/operational managers in cost and budgeting new and existing projects.\
  • Ensure all accounting activities are in line with company policies and accounting standards.\

Requirements

  • \
  • Tertiary degree in Accounting and completed CA/CPA certification.\
  • Proven experience in a range of accounting activities, including general accounting, financial analysis, audit, and management reporting.\
  • High-level competency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.\
  • Experience working in operational finance, preferably in mining or contracting services.\
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and ability to apply it practically.\
  • Excellent relationship building, influencing, and negotiating skills.\
