Job Title: Consultant Neonatal Paediatrician

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Neonatal Paediatrician to join our team at CC Medical. As a key member of our Paediatric Department, you will provide specialist care to inpatient and ambulatory patients, contribute to postgraduate education, and participate in quality improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist care to infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, including after-hours cover and participation in a neonatal retrieval roster.
  • Conduct regular outpatient sessions, including neonatal follow-up clinics.
  • Provide specialist neonatal advice to colleagues in geographically isolated centres.
  • Participate in continuous medical education, including undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, professional development, peer review, research, and quality improvement activities.
  • Collaborate with other medical, nursing, and allied health colleagues to review and revise policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (RACP); Neonatal and Perinatal Medicine and/or advanced trainees anticipating completion of subspecialty training.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a complex and unpredictable environment.
  • A demonstrated interest in and commitment to improving Indigenous health.
Desirable:
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (RACP); General Paediatrics.
