About this opportunity

Flinders University is seeking a highly skilled individual to join our team as a casual academic.

This role involves teaching and mentoring students in undergraduate and postgraduate courses at our Bedford Park campus, regional campuses, or online.

The successful applicant will be registered as an Allied Health practitioner with AHPRA and have a valid South Australian Working with Children Check.

They must also possess strong communication and teamwork skills, knowledge of current trends in health sciences and allied health, and experience teaching in a university setting.

A postgraduate qualification in health or a related field is desirable.

Key responsibilities:

  • Teaching and mentoring students in designated courses
  • Developing and delivering high-quality educational materials
  • Assessing student performance and providing feedback
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Registered Allied Health practitioner with AHPRA
  • Valid South Australian Working with Children Check
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of current trends in health sciences and allied health
  • Experience teaching in a university setting (desirable)
  • Postgraduate qualification in health or a related field (desirable)
