About the Role

Norco Co-operative Limited is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the position of Store Person/Delivery Driver at our Glen Innes AgriSolutions retail store. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Delivery Operations
  • Plan and navigate rural routes efficiently, considering factors such as road conditions, weather, and traffic.
  • Loading and delivery of products to customers ensuring that all items are securely fastened and protected from damage during transit.
  • Verify the accuracy of the loaded products against delivery documents.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of products to rural store locations, meeting established schedules and deadlines.
  • Communicate any delays or issues to the Store Manager.
Store Operations
  • Assist with point of sales operations when required, including sales in the store and warehouse.
  • Develop product knowledge to promote store sales and service.
Customer Service
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
Teamwork and Communication
  • Work collaboratively with the store team to achieve sales and customer service goals.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, management, and customers to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  1. Clean MR drivers' licence and a history of safe driving.
  2. Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably in a delivery-focused role.
  3. Forklift licence, or willingness to obtain one.
  4. Familiarity with local and rural routes and road regulations.
  5. Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including the ability to lift, carry, and move heavy products and endure long periods of driving.
  6. Strong commitment to safety protocols and the ability to adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
  7. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  8. Ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
  9. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries and adherence to schedules.
  10. Customer-focused mindset with the ability to provide excellent service in store and during deliveries.
  11. Attention to detail to ensure accurate product loading and delivery verification.
  12. Proficient computer skills.
  13. Ability to work productively in a small team.
  14. A strong focus on Work Health & Safety.
