Role Overview:

Senior Social Worker

The Senior Social Worker is a crucial member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, providing high-quality services to patients/clients in the Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) to meet their health and wellbeing needs.

This role involves delivering comprehensive, high-level clinical services in line with best practice, including services of a complex nature, to people across MLHD.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide consultative services and clinical expertise in renal psychosocial issues.
  • Offer high-quality social work supervision, education, and support to social work staff, allied health assistants, and students as required.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
  • Advanced clinical skills, knowledge, and experience in delivering high-quality evidence-based social work in the field of healthcare and chronic disease-related psychosocial supports.
  • Strong leadership within a multidisciplinary team setting.
  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
