At CDPS, we seek a dedicated and enthusiastic early childhood educator to join our supportive team. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in designing engaging and inclusive play-based programs for 4-year-old children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Development: Develop and implement inspiring play-based programs that cater to the diverse needs of young learners.
  • Cultural Competence: Embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in all aspects of the curriculum to promote cross-cultural understanding and respect.
  • Relationship Building: Foster responsive, equitable, and respectful relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the community.
  • Student Support: Provide support to students in preparation for primary school, ensuring they are well-equipped for future success.
Requirements:
  • VIT Registration: Hold valid VIT registration as required by law.
  • Child Protection Training: Possess current child protection training to ensure the safety and well-being of all children in care.

The 4YO Program is a rotational program consisting of three groups, each attending two days of 7.5 hours of kindergarten per week. This unique structure provides children with opportunities to engage in varied learning experiences while developing social skills and building friendships.

Working Conditions:
  • Non-Contact Hours: Work a total of 20.25 non-contact hours, including 10.25 hours on weekdays.

Our Sessional Kindergarten offers a long-standing service within the Surrey Hills community, committed to promoting equity, respect, and individuality for each child.
