Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Office Coordinator to join our team at Healthscope. As a key member of our administration team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our patient services.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrative professional to utilize their skills and experience in a dynamic healthcare environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing patient records, and performing general administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient-centred customer service, including greeting customers, handling enquiries, and maintaining accurate patient information data collection.
  • Manage patient electronic records, ensuring the privacy and confidentiality of patient information.
  • Undertake general administration duties, including booking patient appointments, directing patient enquiries, and liaising with other areas of the hospital.
  • Arrange patient transport for discharge and inter-facility transfer.
Essential Criteria
  • Experience working in an acute patient-focused healthcare facility/hospital.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and time management skills with the ability to work in multidisciplinary work environments.
  • Advanced computer literacy and sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • A track record of providing great service and customer experience.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and report writing skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment.
