About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Knowledge Lawyer to join our national Legal Excellence & Risk section in Melbourne.

As a key member of our Knowledge team, you will provide professional support to lawyers and partners within the national Insurance section and the broader firm.

You will work closely with our Client Solutions, Information Technology, Business Development, and Learning & Development teams to deliver high-quality knowledge management services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional support in knowledge management to the firm's national Insurance practice.
  • Assist with the drafting of precedents and promote the development and use of precedents.
  • Contribute to project work, including developing technical improvements and progressing automation and Hall & Wilcox Smarter Law solutions.
  • Prepare and assist with the delivery of training, and the preparation of agendas and minutes.
  • Maintain knowledge repositories and ensure compliance with the firm's style guide.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Between 2 and 4 years of post-admission experience.
  • Experience in insurance law, ideally from a defendant law firm.
  • Excellent document drafting and contract review skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to prioritize and follow up tasks autonomously.
  • A keen interest in knowledge sharing, project management, precedent development, and style compliance.
