Equipment Technician

About this role:

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Technician to join our team. As an Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine servicing and lubrication of mechanical equipment, as well as assisting mechanics with journey level maintenance and repair work on power generation equipment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lubricating equipment in accordance with established procedures and charts
  • Checking and changing oil, oil filters, air filters, fuels, and services buses and other vehicles
  • Replacing hoses, belts, water pumps, batteries, and similar equipment and parts

You will also be responsible for:

  • Checking fan belts, hoses, wiper blades, and other safety equipment
  • Checking radiators and batteries, checking water and antifreeze levels, checking air in tires, adjusting pressure, repairing, and changing flat tires as necessary
  • Maintaining records of work performed and the need for future servicing
  • Cleaning and maintaining shop facilities and equipment

This is a hands-on role that requires excellent technical skills and attention to detail. You will work closely with our mechanic team to ensure that our power generation equipment is running smoothly and efficiently.

Key qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree preferred
  • One (1) year of experience in the repair and maintenance of a variety of mechanical equipment

Desirable characteristics:

  • Knowledge of purchasing policies and procedures, mechanical parts of automotive, construction, maintenance equipment, and use of tools and practices in servicing equipment
  • Ability to carry out simple written and oral instructions, keep routine records, and perform manual labor
