Aussie Locums is seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in providing essential healthcare to rural communities in Queensland, Australia.
With a focus on delivering high-quality care in emergency nursing, acute medical care, and aged care, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of patients in small towns across the state.
We offer a competitive salary package with an estimated base rate of $68-$78 per hour, depending on your level of experience and location. Additionally, you will be entitled to shift rates, which can increase your earnings.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- a valid registration as a Registered or Clinical Nurse
- significant experience working in regional, rural, and remote locations
- certifications in emergency nursing and triage, advanced life support (ALS), and paediatric advanced life support (PALS)
- exceptional skills in IV cannulation, aged care, and rural nursing
- strong triage abilities
- proven team leadership capabilities
You will also need to possess mandatory competencies including Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS), Emergency Triage Education Kit (ETEK), Manual and Patient Handling, Infection Control, Aggressive Behaviour Management, Mandatory Reporting (Child Abuse & Neglect), and Medication Management (QPHS Regulations).
