We are seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to join our dynamic team at Karoonda & District Soldiers Memorial Hospital. This part-time, ongoing position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our community.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver high standard clinical services across various settings, ensuring comprehensive patient care;
- Manage the clinical workload of the practice and associated health services with minimal supervision, exercising sound professional judgment;
- Respond to health site emergencies (MET/Code Blue/Code Black) with efficiency and expertise;
- Supervise, train, and mentor Trainee Medical Officers and GP registrars, fostering their development;
- Engage in teaching and quality assurance initiatives, contributing to the continuous improvement of clinical practices;
- Lead health promotion and community education efforts to enhance public health outcomes; and
- Conduct and support research initiatives within the Local Health Network, driving innovation and best practices.
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent;
- Appropriate Specialist qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration in General Practice or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award;
- At least two years of post-graduate clinical experience in General Practice;
- Sound experience in emergency and procedural skills and good theoretical knowledge;
- Experience in management of medical and surgical emergencies, including application of Advanced Life Support management principles as a team leader; and
- Proven experience in delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards.
