Job Title

A Multi-Skilled Operator is required to join our Coastal Management Team in Port Stephens. This is a permanent opportunity working full-time, 38 hours over 4 days, with one day off each week.

The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a range of civil construction equipment, including loaders, rollers, excavators, or trucks. They will also perform manual labor tasks associated with civil maintenance and construction when plant operation is not required.

  • About the Role:
  • This is a hands-on position that requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience operating machinery, including back hoe, excavator, skid steer, and roller.
  • They will also possess HR or HC license with experience in various configurations.
  • Appropriate literacy and numeracy skills are required to allow comprehension of worksite documentation such as work method statements and quantity calculations.
  • Demonstrated sound communication skills are necessary to create positive relationships with the community and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a range of plant and equipment safely and efficiently on-site.
  • Perform manual labor tasks associated with civil maintenance and construction.
  • Contribute to the delivery of both construction and maintenance projects.
  • Work closely with supervisors, fellow team members, and subcontractors to ensure high-quality outcomes.
