**Job Summary**: We are seeking an experienced Consultant Anaesthetist to join our team at a newly redeveloped 339-bed hospital in Maitland, Australia. This is a full-time opportunity that offers a range of benefits and incentives.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality anaesthetic services to patients, including pre-operative assessments, acute and chronic pain management, and anaesthetic support for labour and delivery. As a Consultant Anaesthetist, you will also be actively involved in clinical leadership and operational management to help shape the future of anaesthetic services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing anaesthetic services to patients, including pre-operative assessments, acute and chronic pain management, and anaesthetic support for labour and delivery.
  • Contributing to clinical leadership and operational management to help shape the future of anaesthetic services.
  • Working collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and other allied health professionals to ensure safe and effective perioperative care.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or equivalent.
  • Experience working as a Consultant Anaesthetist in a hospital setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
