Job Summary

We are seeking a National HSE Manager to support the General Manager - Operations in the effective management and implementation of Health, Safety, Environment, Rehabilitation and Training throughout our sites nationally.

About the Role

The National HSE Manager will lead and conduct incident investigations, prepare investigation reports, conduct site compliance inspections and HSE audits, and attend pre-shift meetings to communicate HSE information.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Lead and conduct incident investigations, including preparation of investigation reports
  • Conduct site compliance inspections and HSE audits
  • Attend pre-shift meetings and communicate HSE information
  • Assist in mentoring and supporting Departmental employees to ensure full understanding and adherence to our Safety Management & Environmental systems
  • Undertake chemical management audit across our sites nationally and assist in updating information into ChemWatch as well as educating personnel in the use of Chemwatch
  • Assist with Site Health, Safety, Environment Inductions for all employees and contractors
  • Assist in the management of Workers Compensation claims and Rehabilitation Plans/Programs
  • Prepare HSE bulletins, alerts and communications

Requirements

- Minimum 5 years' experience in Workplace Health and Safety

- Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (Minimum requirement)

- Knowledge of Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation claims management

- High level organisational skills, with ability to meet deadlines

- High level of internal customer service/satisfaction skills

- Ability to communicate with end users and have well-developed written and oral communication skills
