Developmental Therapist Position

The role of a Developmental Therapist involves conducting assessments and providing case management and therapeutic support to children and young people. This position is part of the Neurodevelopmental Stream, focusing on developmental assessment, formulation, case management, and therapeutic support.

As a key member of a multi-disciplinary team, you will collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement treatment plans that cater to the diverse needs of children and young people. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough assessments, provide individualized care, and work closely with families to promote positive outcomes and ensure their involvement in the child's care plan.

  • Conducting comprehensive developmental assessments to identify areas of strength and need for children and young people.
  • Developing and implementing tailored treatment plans that align with the individual needs of each child.

A successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Registration with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Relevant clinical experience in paediatric and adolescent populations.
