Senior Officer Development Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Officer Development Engineering to join our team at Gympie Regional Council. As a key member of our Development and Compliance Branch, you will play a critical role in ensuring that development proposals and construction works meet our engineering design standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical advice and guidance on development proposals and construction works
- Ensure compliance with council's engineering design standards and specifications
- Assess engineering aspects of development applications and prepare approval conditions
- Work effectively with the Development and Compliance Branch and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes
- Respond to customer action requests and provide expert verbal and written advice
- Associate Degree or higher qualification in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 5-10 years' experience in a senior role within a development engineering environment
- Extensive experience in civil engineering/construction environment, including inspecting development and infrastructure works
- High level of knowledge and experience in the use of engineering standards, specifications, and codes
- High level verbal and written communication skills
- Queensland 'C' Class driver's licence and Construction Industry White/Blue card
- Nine-day fortnight
