Job Description

A exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Healthcare Professional in a casual capacity at Tailem Bend Hospital.

About the Role

As a Healthcare Professional, you will be working closely with Enrolled and Registered Nurses/Midwives to assist in various patient care tasks, including supporting patients with activities of daily living, providing person-centred care, and performing essential routine duties such as setting up for nursing procedures, cleaning equipment, and managing stock levels.

Responsibilities
  • SUPPORT PATIENTS WITH ACTIVITIES OF DAILY LIVING SUCH AS BATHING, FEEDING AND TOILETING.
  • PROVIDE PERSON-CENTRED CARE THAT MEETS THE INDIVIDUAL NEEDS OF EACH PATIENT.
  • ASSIST IN A VARIETY OF PATIENT CARE TASKS, INCLUDING SETTING UP FOR NURSING PROCEDURES, CLEANING EQUIPMENT AND MANAGING STOCK LEVELS.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • ENROLLED IN AN UNDERGRADUATE NURSING OR MIDWIFERY PROGRAM (E.G., 3RD YEAR) OR UNDERTAKING A COURSE TO BECOME AN ENROLLED NURSE.
  • EXPERIENCE IN NURSING/MIDWIFERY CARE WITHIN THE SCOPE OF YOUR EDUCATION, ADHERING TO PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS OF PRACTICE.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks effectively.
