Clinical Pharmacist Opportunity

The position of Clinical Pharmacist is a key role within our pharmacy team, providing medicines management services to correctional facilities in the Top End of the Northern Territory.

As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will be responsible for optimizing the quality use of medicines through innovative patient care and improving the health of incarcerated Territorians.

The pharmacy team is a multi-disciplinary team working within a clinic comprising doctors, nurses, and other visiting allied health professionals. We have a strong focus on workforce culture and systems improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical review of client charts
  • Provide professional advice in the context of a correctional setting
  • Management and distribution of medications dispensed by contracted pharmacies
  • PRN medication dispensing

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday 8am – 4:21pm

Location:

The Prison Health Clinic is primarily located within the Holtz Correctional Precinct, approximately 25 minutes from Darwin CBD, and 15 minutes from Palmerston CBD.
