Position Summary: Located at Wacol, the Warehouse Operations Assistant will collaborate closely with the service team to manage consumable procurement, receipt, and storage. This role is crucial in ensuring that the technical team and customers receive the correct items in excellent condition and in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently manage all facets of the parts supply chain, ensuring:
  • Thorough inspection of incoming goods to verify stock accuracy and report any damages to the supervisor.
  • Maintain compliance of tools and assets.
  • Ensure high standards in the maintenance and repair of workshop tools and assets.
  • Facilitate the timely dispatch and receipt of tools.
  • Oversee the purchasing of consumables and PPE, balancing cost and quality.
  • Support the workshop team during audits and implement necessary improvements.
  • Assist with local pickups as needed.
  • Provide technical assistance as required.
  • Accurately record all stock receipts and organize them in designated locations.
  • Efficiently pick, pack, dispatch, and document shipments of parts and goods for both customers and internal departments.
  • Securely package items to prevent damage during transit.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse following 5S and safety principles.
  • Assist with periodic and comprehensive stock takes.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is completed and filed accurately and promptly for all goods entering or leaving the warehouse.
  • Coordinate with transport companies to arrange cost-effective deliveries, ensuring accurate completion of consignment notes.
  • Verify that returned items are in acceptable condition and that authorization is obtained prior to acceptance and credit issuance.
  • Report any issues regarding misidentified goods, damaged items, or required tooling and consumables to the supervisor.
  • Develop proficiency in the computerized Inventory Control System, reporting any encountered issues and proposing solutions.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by:
  • Ensuring timely processing of customer parts orders, adhering to Komatsu's Customer Support Charter.
  • Assisting colleagues, including Customer Support Representatives and Parts Interpreters, with parts-related inquiries.
  • Actively participating in team efforts to refine processes and enhance operational efficiency.
