Joint Venture Partnership Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Joint Venture Advisor to join our team at Beach Energy. As a key member of our commercial operations team, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our joint venture partnerships.
Your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain strong relationships with our joint venture partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to achieve our commercial objectives.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders and joint venture partners to drive commercial success, ensure strong joint venture relationships, and support key decision-making processes.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining joint venture relationships
- Facilitating the preparation and submission of joint venture communications, including correspondence, reports, resolutions, notices, AFEs, and agreements
- Assisting the Asset Performance Manager in devising strategies to execute key commercial optimisations for Beach and joint venture partners
- Enhancing the reporting and accountability of Beach-operated joint ventures
- Assisting in the management of joint venture negotiations and decision-framing processes and providing commercial advice across the functions supporting joint venture operations
- Identifying risks/gaps in existing agreements and developing strategies and tactics to protect or create value for Beach, including proposing and implementing amendments
- Ensuring joint operating agreements are managed effectively, and obligations, reporting, deliverables, and timeframes are concisely communicated to relevant internal stakeholders
We are looking for a strong collaborator with highly evolved interpersonal and communication skills who can partner with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
To be considered, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in a commercial, technical, business, or equivalent industry experience
- Proven experience in joint venture management, commercial operations, or a similar role
- Strong understanding of joint operating agreements (JOA) and delegation of authority (DOA) processes
- Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across teams
- Strong commercial acumen and decision-making abilities
- Ability to successfully deal with external parties, particularly in relation to sensitive and complex issues
- An ability to build positive work relationships: use appropriate methods and flexible interpersonal style to assist in building cohesive and effective operational working relationships within the organisation and with external parties
