Assistant Store Manager Job Description

At our esteemed retail establishment, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for driving sales performance, fostering a customer-centric culture, and developing the skills of our retail sales team.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in retail sales, with a proven track record of achieving targets. They will also have excellent commercial acumen, a results-driven mindset, and the ability to coach, guide, and motivate teams to deliver exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Store Manager to drive sales performance and achieve targets through effective selling of merchandise.
  • Work with customers to make their vision for their home a reality by providing styling solutions and recommendations, upselling, and cross-selling ascertaining customer needs.
  • Coach and guide the retail sales team to achieve targets and create a unique shopping experience that delivers exceptional customer service.
  • Support with day-to-day store operations including rostering, financial performance, administrative tasks, recruiting, and onboarding of new team members.
