
Classroom Education Specialist

As an educator, you will play a vital role in enhancing student performance and educational outcomes as per the school's strategic plan and state-wide priorities.
You will contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and priorities, focusing on increasing staff knowledge about student learning and high-quality instruction.
The successful candidate will possess content knowledge and pedagogical practice to meet the diverse needs of students and model exemplary classroom practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students;
- Contributing to the development, implementation, and evaluation of a curriculum area or other curriculum program within the school;
- Undertaking other classroom teaching-related and organisational duties as determined by the School Principal;
- Participating in activities such as parent/teacher meetings; staff meetings; camps, and excursions;
- Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant curriculum, including ability to incorporate literacy and numeracy skills.
- Demonstrated experience in planning for and implementing high-impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluating the impact of learning and teaching programs on student learning growth.
- Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing student learning.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values.
Range 2 classroom teachers are skilled educators who operate under general direction within clear guidelines following established work practices and documented priorities.
They may have responsibility for supervision and training of one or more student teachers and participate in development of school policies and programs.
At Range 2, educators are responsible for teaching their own classes and may also assist and participate in policy development, project teams, and organisation of co-curricula activities.
