Role Summary
The Nursing Staff Management Specialist will play a critical role in managing the workforce functions for Casual Pool employees at Mater Health Services. This permanent full-time position will be based at the Pimlico campus and will involve coordinating the deployment of casual nursing staff, developing and maintaining accurate rosters, and identifying staffing deficits. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in workforce coordination or a similar role, ideally within the healthcare industry. We are looking for a skilled individual who can collaborate with the Nurse Unit Manager and After-Hours Managers to ensure streamlined and efficient recruitment, scheduling, allocation, and rostering of casual nurses throughout the hospital.

About You
  • Prior experience in workforce coordination or a similar role, ideally within the healthcare industry. Previous experience managing nursing staff is highly desirable.
  • Ability to plan, develop, and maintain rostering and allocation procedures for the nursing workforce.
  • High-level communication and liaison skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong quality improvement approach and mindset.
