Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated professional to join our team as a Dental Assistant. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

The successful applicant will assist clinicians in providing high-quality oral health services, prepare equipment and instruments, and maintain accurate patient records. They will also contribute to a positive and patient-focused environment.

About the Role

This is a temporary part-time position working 26 hours per week at Westmead. The successful applicant will be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving health services for the community.

  • Assist clinicians in providing oral health services
  • Prepare equipment and instruments
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Contribute to a positive and patient-focused environment
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Certificate III in Dental Assisting or recognised equivalent/current enrolment in the course
  • Recent, adequate experience as a Dental Assistant
  • Demonstrated ability to assist clinicians in a four-handed environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency and accuracy in dental charting
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
