Job Summary

The Delaware North company is seeking a highly skilled STP Operator to join our Maintenance Team at Lizard Island Resort. As a STP Operator, you will play a vital role in managing and monitoring the Resort Sewerage Treatment Plant and Water Treatment Plant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain water and sewerage treatment plants in accordance with environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Record water usage, sample potable water, and replace chemicals as needed to ensure optimal treatment plant performance.
  • Perform daily operations, maintenance, and repairs at the sewerage treatment plant, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance schedules and testing requirements to ensure the treatment plants are functioning efficiently.
  • Adhere to safety, environmental, and resort procedures, including emergency response protocols.

Requirements

  • STP certifications and a current driver's license.
  • Understanding of safety standards and chemical knowledge.
  • Tractor and front-end loader licenses (preferred).
  • Strong adherence to environmental policies and procedures.
  • Ability to perform duties as directed by the Maintenance Manager or Supervisor.
