About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our team at U&U Recruitment Partners. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, inspections, repairs, and overhauls on a variety of equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on heavy vehicles and equipment
  • Repair and overhaul equipment as required
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients
Requirements
  • Fitter trade or heavy vehicle motor mechanic with high mechanical aptitude
  • Essential to have hydraulic/pneumatic experience and the ability to read schematics
  • Strong diagnostics and fault-finding experience within the equipment building industry
  • Proven background in a service role, high pressure vacuum and water pump experience highly advantageous
  • Ability to work autonomously and confident customer-facing skills
  • Be highly organized and have the ability to work across varied systems to report on diagnostics and overall maintenance findings
  • Valid current driver's license and flexibility with rare after-hours/ regional/ interstate requirements
