About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Minerals Solutions Engineer to join our team in Perth, Australia.

Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a global leader in the design, manufacturing and supply of equipment for the mining and minerals processing industries. As a Global Minerals Solutions Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting the Weir Minerals GEHO aftermarket business through the effective development, maximization and maintenance of relationships with all GEHO customers in WA sites and head offices in Perth City.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
  • Develop, maintain and maximize relationships with our customers of GEHO.
  • Assist in preventing competitors from establishing a long-term presence in GEHO's core business at the above mentioned sites.
  • Initiate, manage and maintain service agreements with GEHO customers. Assist End User Sales Division in implementing service agreements into the Australian market.
  • Provide up-to-date technical information to clients, ensuring that all clients are aware of our technical advancements.
  • Follow up on customer requests and complaints until full resolution.
  • Provide technical recommendations and support to customers backed by our WMNL-based Aftermarket Team.
  • Identify and promote new business opportunities to profitably grow the business in the Area.
  • Report, document, budget, and forecast.
  • Develop Quarterly Reports that measure performance against objectives, provide details of significant market issues (customer and competitor).
  • Prepare Site Visit Reports following customer visits.
  • Manage inventory.
  • Liaise with internal departments and agents.
Requirements
  • A qualification in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical).
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
  • The ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals.
  • Sound organizational, people, and time management skills.
  • The ability to travel to site when required.
  • Experience using SAP is highly desirable.
  • A willingness to travel to other Weir Mineral locations.
  • A committed and proactive attitude towards Environment, Health, and Safety.
