We seek a skilled Chef/Catering Coordinator to join our team at Uniting. As part of our commitment to delivering exceptional care, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
Main Responsibilities:
Culinary Expertise: You will bring your culinary expertise and passion for food to create delicious and nutritious meals that cater to the diverse needs of our residents.
Menu Planning: You will work closely with our Service Manager and residents to plan and develop menus that meet their unique needs and preferences.
Food Preparation: You will prepare and cook all daily meals, ensuring that they are of the highest quality and presented in a visually appealing way.
Food Safety: You will maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
Catering: You will oversee the storage and protection of food and catering supplies, ensuring that they are used efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
Certification: You will have a Certificate III in Hospitality – Commercial Cookery or a similar qualification.
Experience: You will have previous experience in aged care, with a focus on cook fresh/cook chill methodology.
Skills: You will possess excellent culinary skills, as well as strong communication and leadership abilities.
