Operations Manager Sydney

Elevate your career to new heights by taking on a challenging role as an Operations Manager with a leading Aviation Catering company.

We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on professional to join our high-performance International Flight Catering team based at Sydney Airport, managing two facilities on a full-time basis.

About this Role:
  • Ensure overall safety and efficient operation of the Unit, maintaining National Standards, Compliance, and Policies to achieve highest service delivery levels.
  • Manage day-to-day operational activities of the Units, coordinating and supervising team members to provide Service Delivery to all International and Domestic clients and aircraft.
  • Oversee operational and service delivery activities to ensure all flights meet MPS, Customer SLA's, and OTP requirements.
  • Responsible for P&L of the Unit and managing ongoing operational costs.
  • Develop and implement systems and procedures to support efficient and effective operation of the Unit.
  • Make recommendations on service procedures, quality improvements, and business development requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
  1. Manage operational activities, ensuring compliance with National Standards and Policies.
  2. Coordinate and supervise team members to deliver excellent customer service.
  3. Monitor and improve operational efficiency, reducing costs and increasing productivity.
  4. Analyze incidents and maintenance reports, taking corrective action to minimize future risk.
  5. Investigate and resolve complex problems, providing solutions to improve service delivery.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated success in a similar role, preferably in B2B environment.
  • Proven supervisory and leadership experience, managing a team of 500+ personnel.
  • Strong agile leadership, diplomacy, and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work both on the floor and in the office as required.
  • Good understanding of Food Safety/WH&S and quality assurance principles.
