About the Job

We're looking for an exceptional professional with expertise in capital procurement, project management, and contract negotiation. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing leadership to your procurement team and project teams in category management, strategic sourcing, program, and project contracting strategy development
  • Developing and implementing effective sourcing and contracting strategies for various market challenges
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders and suppliers to deliver Capex plans

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Strategic Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and achieving high engagement of Procurement and Contracting teams in the Capex environment
  • Strong commercial and commodity, equipment and service market understanding with excellent business acumen

You'll have the opportunity to work from our Booragoon or Bindjareb office and will require travel to both sites and operating locations. We offer a hybrid work approach, including working from home, and support flexible work arrangements.

About You

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A deep understanding of equipment and service supplier markets servicing capital projects in the mining and resources sector
  • Excellent Project Management and cross-functional team leadership skills
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to communicate effectively up to Vice President level
