Volunteer as a Biographer to help HammondCare clients record their life stories and memories. This is a rewarding opportunity to improve quality of life and reduce feelings of isolation for older people.
About the RoleAs a volunteer biographer, you will spend 6-8 weeks visiting an elderly client with a rich past, recording their stories and memories using a dictaphone and transcription software. Your role will involve listening and writing skills to capture the essence of each story, creating a lasting gift for their family.
This is a unique opportunity to bring joy to our clients and enhance their quality of life. If you have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, typing skills of 50 words per minute, and are able to work independently, we encourage you to apply.
Key Skills and Qualifications- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word
- 50 words per minute typing skills
- Ability to work independently and problem solve
- Own car to drive to the home of the client
