Labourer - Landscaping

We require a reliable and skilled labourer to join our landscaping team. As a labourer, you will work closely with the landscape team leader and other team members to complete various tasks related to landscaping.

Job Description:
The labourer will be responsible for performing various tasks, including but not limited to:
1. Landscape duties such as turfing and retaining wall construction.
2. Hard landscaping projects including paving, retaining walls, drainage, irrigation, etc.
3. Timberworks including fencing, decking, and pergolas.
4. Operating a variety of mechanical equipment including trailers, chainsaws, laser levels, grinders, and other power tools required onsite.
5. Safely operating vehicles such as light trucks and trailers.

Daily Activities:
1. Setting up and maintaining vehicles with supplies and equipment for site project schedules.
2. Completing and submitting paperwork in line with company standards, including job sheets, variations, logistical information, timesheets, etc.
3. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, including worksites, workshops, and equipment.
4. Interacting with clients when working on landscape enhancement projects, answering questions, responding to client requests, and ensuring client satisfaction.
5. Using job management software to manage, run, and cost jobs.
6. Planning and organizing jobs, ensuring sufficient resources and materials are available.
7. Maintaining assigned equipment and notifying management of needed repairs.

Requirements:
1. At least three years of experience in landscaping or a similar construction industry.
2. Strong literacy skills.
3. Working knowledge of landscaping standards.
4. Good communication skills, job planning skills, problem-solving skills, and mechanical aptitude.
5. Experience with installation of hardscape projects preferred.

This is a casual-based position, with opportunities to shift to full-time work for the right applicant.
