Effective laboratory management is crucial for delivering high-quality pathology services and driving operational excellence.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a large-scale laboratory, ensuring efficient utilization of human, plant, and financial resources.

They will monitor quality control procedures to guarantee accurate and reliable test results, maintaining full compliance with accreditation standards.

A strong leadership presence is required to supervise all scientific, administrative, technical, and ancillary functions within the laboratory.

Key responsibilities include providing scientific and technical expertise in performing and overseeing diagnostic procedures, applying established and emerging techniques.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in science, combined with excellent people and commercial acumen.

Tertiary qualifications in Science, Applied Science, Laboratory Medicine, Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent that fulfils NPAAC criteria are essential.

Additionally, tertiary qualifications in Business, Management or related disciplines are desirable.

Proven leadership experience in a large organization, preferably in the pathology sector, with significant experience in laboratory supervision is required.

Candidates should also possess strong interpersonal skills, ability to motivate staff, and drive business growth through strategic decision-making.
