Software Engineer Position

We are seeking an experienced and skilled software developer to fill a senior role within our organization. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software systems.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain software systems that meet our customers' needs.
  • Work closely with our field, support, and product engineering teams to resolve customer problems related to open source software.
  • Develop bug fixes, backport patches, and collaborate with upstream communities for inclusion.

Requirements

  • Exceptional academic track record.
  • Background in computer science or similar field.
  • Experience with Linux and open source software.
  • Experience with at least one of Python, Go, C, or C++ on Linux.
  • Drive to learn unfamiliar technology and deep-dive into difficult issues.
  • Willingness to travel up to four times a year for internal events.

  • Value soft skills and are passionate, enterprising, thoughtful, and self-motivated.
  • Interest in or willingness to learn about any of the following: Ubuntu Linux - kernel or userspace, Kubernetes, OpenStack, Ceph, QEMU/KVM, LXC/LXD, Postgresql, Mongo, Debian packaging, distributed systems.
