Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to lead a team in delivering high-quality projects for our mining customers.
The successful candidate will work closely with other engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction teams to deliver projects that meet customer expectations for quality, cost, schedule, safety, and benefit to their business.
Major Responsibilities:
- Lead the team in delivering studies and projects, taking responsibility for design and mentoring junior team members.
- Develop and check process deliverables, such as design criteria, mass & energy balances, process flow diagrams, equipment sizing calculations, P&IDs, and control philosophy.
- Coordinate with engineering disciplines, procurement, construction, vendors, consultants, subject matter experts, and client teams to deliver projects successfully.
- Contribute to the review and optimization of project design, cost, safety, constructability, and schedule.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in Mineral Processing, Metallurgy, or Chemical Engineering, with 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience as an engineer working in detailed design in the minerals industry, including direct experience in developing typical detailed engineering deliverables.
- Expertise as a Subject Matter Expert in particular fields of mineral extraction is highly regarded.
- Well-developed skills in teamwork, leadership, communication, and problem-solving.
- Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland.
