Job Opportunity: Loader Operator/Forklift Driver

This is a permanent full-time opportunity for an experienced Loader Operator/Forklift driver. We have an 8 hour per day/afternoon Monday to Friday fortnightly rotating roster on offer in a cullet plant environment, located in the Gawler SA area.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the cullet plant, including:

  1. Operating cullet plant machinery
  2. Performing routine maintenance on machinery
  3. Attending to breakdowns
  4. Recording and managing data
  5. Using front-end loader, forklift, and truck to manage raw materials
  6. Receiving and managing raw materials
  7. Preparing finished product ready for transport
  8. Supervising small groups of contractors in a stand-in situation
  9. Rotating between day and afternoon shifts on a fortnightly basis
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong mechanical aptitude and communication skills
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to pitch in to help the team achieve goals
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • A valid Forklift licence (LO or LF)
  • A valid Front End Loader licence (LL)
  • MC or HR license is highly desirable but not required
  • A passion for safety and understanding of HSE practices
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks
