We have an exciting role available for a Senior Finance Manager to join our Opal Fibre Packaging business based in Melbourne's outer eastern suburbs. As the successful candidate, you will provide support to the General Manager Commercial Fibre Australia by managing the monthly reporting, forecasting, and budget process.

This role will involve coordinating state finance managers to ensure all work is completed to a high quality within deadlines, while also assisting with compliance to internal processes & controls.

You will contribute to the success of Opal by:

  • Participating in the timely completion and management of month-end reporting and the forecasting and budgeting process for the region.
  • Presenting forecasts to General Manager Commercial and Group General Manager (GGM) with relevant analysis and commentary.
  • Coordinating the month forecast processes ensuring states accurately complete all requirements.
  • Participating in and driving improvements to the Day 3 and monthly forecast process.
  • Assisting in the provision of information covering variations to budget and forecast, and options regarding business opportunities around variances.
  • Preparing monthly Management Information Reports (MIR), Management Meeting Reports (MMR), and Productivity Reports.
  • Performing regular one-on-ones with direct reports as a means to support and develop their skills.

About You

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • A degree in Finance, Accountancy or Commerce.
  • A postgraduate qualification of either CPA or CA.
  • SIGNIFICANT experience working in a large-scale multi-site organisation (8+ years).
  • Solid working knowledge of costing in a manufacturing environment, including Bill of Materials (BOM) and Manufacturing Standard Costing.
  • An understanding of general ledger reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Exposure to ERP systems and costing systems (SAP essential).
  • Strong leadership experience.

Compensation Package

We offer a highly competitive salary of AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience, plus superannuation and other benefits.
