Aurizon is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Officer to join our Payroll Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our employees and leaders, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll-related tasks, and maintaining compliance with governance procedures and controls.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide effective customer service to Aurizon's employees and leaders via electronic ticketing systems and phone calls.
- Payroll Processing: Fast and accurate manual data entry of timesheets, employee reimbursements, traveling allowances, and study assistance claims.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with governance procedures and controls to maintain accurate records for all employees.
- Advice and Guidance: Provide informed advice regarding employee entitlements in response to queries.
- Process Review: Participate in the ongoing review of relevant processes and procedures within the Payroll Services team.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is proficient with technology and has a demonstrated ability to grasp new systems quickly. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, an approachable and positive personality, and experience within a payroll function. You will also be able to effectively set priorities and meet deadlines, have a high level of attention to detail, and be self-motivated and driven to work independently.
