Job Summary:

Expats Direct Limited is seeking a highly skilled Wells Engineer to join our team in a 12-month contract role. As a Wells Engineer - Interventions and P&A Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of well operations, collaborating with onsite teams and service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement plans to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, protecting personnel, environment, and community safety.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Wells Performance and Planning, Drilling, and Asset Operations Production, to achieve timely and cost-effective execution of operations.
  • Independently develop plans in an integrated and collaborative manner to ensure efficient execution of operations.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to stakeholders across the organization, including Contract and Procurement and HSSE departments.

Requirements:

  • Relevant engineering degree (minimum of 4 years studying)
  • Relevant wells experience (CSG, interventions, P&A)
  • IWCF Certification
  • Strong understanding of the Well Delivery Process and related value creation activities
  • Working knowledge of workover rig and coiled tubing operations
  • Working knowledge of EDM well engineering software packages (or ability to learn quickly)
  • Project management skills
  • Experience in CSG (Coal Seam Gas) / CBM (Coal Bed Methane), unconventional, or other high intensity land operations and/or operations on privately owned land is beneficial.
