We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Employment Specialist to join our team at Workskil Australia Ltd. As an Employment Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander customers by providing intensive mentoring to ensure their transition into employment is successful and sustained.
This is a full-time, ongoing position based across all our Perth South sites. You will have the opportunity to work a 9-day fortnight, with a dedicated and fixed day off every second week. You will also receive the remuneration of a full-time employee, in addition to the ability to salary sacrifice.

About YouTo be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a culturally diverse range of clients, employers and staff.
- High level of interpersonal skills with an ability to represent Workskil Australia Ltd to our customers, funding bodies, employers, RTOs, Indigenous Communities and other stakeholders.
- Sound knowledge of the local labour market.
- An understanding of case management framework.
- Sales and customer service experience.
- Extensive working knowledge of federally funded Employment Programs and funding models.
- Experience mentoring Indigenous customers in employment.
- Proven ability to work in an outcome-based, high-pressure environment, positively and with enthusiasm.
You will also be required to have:
- Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and ability to type (minimum 30 words per minute).
- Certificate IV in Employment Services or Career Development (preferably) or willing to study.
- Hold a current driver's licence and have own vehicle with the willingness to travel across the region.
It would be advantageous for the preferred candidate to identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander or have extensive experience working with customers within this cohort.
