This position entails acting as a leading advisor for various clients in ensuring optimal insurance coverage. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze and understand the needs of these clients, subsequently recommending tailored solutions that cater to their specific requirements.
As an integral part of our team, you will be working closely with key stakeholders to design and implement market-leading coverage structures for large and diverse clientele. This involves building strong relationships with both internal and external partners to achieve shared objectives.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with practice leaders to deliver high-quality coverage, pricing, and service for existing clients.
- Develop customized program structures across various risk areas including cyber, technology errors and omissions, management liability, and directors' and officers' liability insurance.
- Translate complex business and technological risks into actionable insurance strategies, quantifying potential exposures and presenting clear recommendations to clients.
- Prepare comprehensive submissions, renewal strategies, market presentations, and client deliverables.
Techincal Excellence:
- Review, compare, and negotiate policy wordings, endorsements, and exclusions; identify gaps and craft insurer-approved manuscript solutions where appropriate.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurer appetites, rating drivers, and systemic risk issues.
Regulatory and Contractual Risk Guidance:
- Provide practical guidance on regulatory developments relevant to cyber, data, and technology risk.
- Support contract reviews with clients' legal and procurement teams and align insurance to contracting reality.
- Use loss modeling and portfolio analytics to inform coverage decisions and pricing movements.
- Capture and share market intelligence to inform placement strategy and practice development.
Growth and Profile:
- Identify opportunities for growth within existing portfolios and support new business initiatives.
- Contribute to thought leadership and represent the company's values.
Requirements:
- Experience: 5+ years in corporate/commercial insurance broking or underwriting, with demonstrated financial lines focus.
- Technical capability: Advanced understanding of cyber, data, and technology risk themes, tech errors and omissions liabilities, and how contract terms intersect with insurance.
- Commercial acumen: Proven negotiation skills with insurers and comfort presenting to clients.
- Communication: Clear, succinct writing and presentation skills to communicate complex concepts effectively.
