Operations Management Role

As an Operations Coordinator, you will play a vital role in facilitating safe and efficient operations within work zones.

  • Facilitate project scope to deliver safe and efficient operations
  • Provide subject matter expertise on inventory management systems and processes
  • Develop and train opportunities for team members
  • Encourage team members to take ownership of end-to-end processes
  • Receive and coordinate material requests and points of enquiry
  • Establish documentation filing processes and ensure compliance
  • Analyze and report material discrepancies
  • Support material management and transactions within the Dampier operations and for customers
  • Proactively communicate with supply chain stakeholders to meet customer requirements
  • Ensure quarantine compliance, dangerous goods storage, handling, and transportation is carried out safely and in accordance with relevant policies and regulations
  • Maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reports
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and accuracy of procedures and policies
Key Responsibilities:
  • Scope projects to achieve safe and efficient outcomes
  • Manage inventory systems and processes effectively
  • Develop training programs for team members
  • Promote team ownership and accountability
  • Coordinate material requests and manage documentation
  • Report material discrepancies and support transactional activities
  • Communicate with stakeholders to meet customer needs
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and safety protocols

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Specialized systems knowledge
  • Computer literacy and experience with MS Office Suite
  • A current Australian Driver's Licence (Car)
  • A current Forklift Licence (LF)
  • Chain of Responsibility qualification
  • Certificate III or IV Warehouse Operations (desirable)
  • Load Restraint Training
  • Dangerous Goods Awareness and qualified in transport of DG by Road, Air & Sea
  • Experience in inventory management systems
