The Opportunity
We are seeking recent law graduates or experienced immigration lawyers to join our team as Lawyers/Associates. As a Lawyer/Associate, you will demonstrate a sound working knowledge of Australian immigration law and practice, proactively manage your caseload with support staff, think commercially, and cultivate strong client relationships.
You will have opportunities to work closely with senior staff and coach and develop team members. The ideal candidate will possess at least 3-5 years of post-admission experience with a focus on corporate immigration case and client management.
Job Description
As a Graduate, you will receive comprehensive training to set you up for a career in corporate immigration law. You will have the opportunity to work in a global firm with exposure to blue chip company clients and develop your legal acumen.
Under supervision, you will have ownership of a caseload and be expected to proactively manage workflows with direct client contact. Working closely with our team of immigration lawyers, you will help prepare and file visa applications that meet all legal requirements.
You will draft legal documents and client correspondence, assist in client interviews, and complete legal research. The ideal candidate would be a recent law graduate, about to be admitted, or recently admitted to legal practice.
Required Skills and Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who are quick learners with excellent written and oral communication skills. You should be focused on client service, working with a range of clients to understand their challenges and executing solutions.
You must be process-driven, possessing excellent attention to detail, organisational, and time-management skills. We also require candidates who are accountable, able to work independently, and perform in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Candidates should be proficient in various systems and technology and effective team players with a flexible and can-do work approach.
