Perth, Western Australia Perth Airport Pty Full time

Perth Airport Pty is committed to building a dynamic and supportive team culture, and we are seeking an experienced Senior Category Manager to join our Projects Team.

In this key role, you will oversee the entire procurement lifecycle, from sourcing strategies to managing the pre-contracts award process. You will use market insights to gain a commercial advantage and challenge existing processes to find better solutions.

Additionally, you will act as the Subject Matter Expert for the TechOne Contracting System.

You will also support the Projects Team for post-award contract management, including performance reviews, negotiating variations, and ensuring alignment with category strategy objectives. You will collaborate with stakeholders to effectively mitigate risks and ensure the continuity of supply, promoting integration with critical contractors to maximise the value of commercial relationships for both the company and the contractor.

We are looking for a highly skilled and enthusiastic individual who possesses exceptional sourcing and contracting skills, with proven experience in market research, cost analysis, and the development of procurement plans and sourcing strategies.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated negotiation skills and experience in formalising negotiated outcomes into contracts, and possess a strong background in category management, sourcing, and contracts within an infrastructure asset operations or maintenance environment.

  • Confidence in interacting with and influencing senior stakeholders and contractor representatives;
  • Able to identify inefficiencies, consider alternatives, and challenge the status quo;
  • Highly proficient in using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
