Role Summary

As a Middle School English Educator, you will provide students with engaging learning activities and experiences to help them grow intellectually, emotionally, physically, and socially.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet district curriculum requirements and showcase preparation as needed.
  • Plan and use instructional strategies, materials, and technology that reflect understanding of individual student differences and needs.
  • Conduct assessments of student learning styles and adjust instructional activities accordingly.
  • Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula for special education students based on Individual Education Plans (IEP).
  • Work with staff to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods according to district requirements.
Student Growth and Development:
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement through formal and informal testing.
  • Assume responsibility for extracurricular activities as assigned, sponsor outside activities approved by the campus principal.
  • Present a positive role model for students, supporting the mission of the school district.
Classroom Management and Organization:
  • Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and suitable for physical, social, and emotional development.
  • Manage student behavior in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and student handbook.
  • Take necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
