About the Role

This position will have a wide remit, covering leading client engagements, stakeholder management, pre-sales, and delivery of solutions and consulting projects. The role will both deliver direct consulting services to clients in the area of security architecture, as well as act as a bridge between the Advisory and Engineering teams.

A strong background in Infrastructure, data, and/or application security is required, along with experience in security architecture, solution design, and a broad range of security controls and solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Leading large-scale security review projects for enterprise customers
  • Specifying and negotiating security requirements on projects, reviewing current policies and procedures for applicability, and effectiveness
  • Providing industry experience and recommendation across a wide range of technologies and solutions
  • Supporting clients with technology rationalisation, vendor selection, and solution design
  • Cloud Security - experience in reviewing, designing, and implementing secure solutions on one or more major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google)
  • Architect, design, build, and deploy data, application, and infrastructure security solutions in cloud environments
  • Providing compliance assurance and definition for security processes, including and not limited to SOC2 / ISO / APRA / ISM / PCI-DSS
  • Work closely with security partners, including Google, Microsoft, AWS, and other specialized partners across the cybersecurity market
  • Conduct Security Review Processes for:
  • Security Architecture and Design
  • Secure Coding
  • Security Testing
  • Software Development Life Cycle
What You'll Need to Be Successful
  • Experience in security architecture, specifically in designing security solutions and control implementation, and ideally in cloud and/or hybrid environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to liaise with and influence diverse stakeholder groups
  • Willingness to continually upskill, including learning new technologies and obtaining new certifications
  • Experience in mentoring and leading junior consultants
  • Experience in leading teams and projects
  • Bring a positive can-do attitude to the team, with a developer-friendly problem-solving orientation (shifting security left)
  • Experience working in regulated environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to liaise with and influence diverse stakeholder groups
Nice to Have
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g. SABSA, CISSP, CISM, CCSK, IRAP, etc.)
  • Cloud experience or certifications (e.g. AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Experience with cloud-native technologies and solutions
  • Software development experience
  • Hands-on experience implementing security solutions
  • Experience working with risk management systems and reporting systems
