About the Role

Babcock is seeking a skilled and experienced Defence High Frequency Communications System Operator to support the Australian Defence Force's critical communications infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and deliver contracted Operations Support for the Defence High Frequency Communications System (DHFCS) and Enhanced Defence High Frequency Communications System (EDHFCS).
  • Conduct initial investigations into system failures and reliability concerns while maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to achieve competency to operate the DHFCS and EDHFCS systems.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of one year experience as a Defence Communications Operator or in a similar field.
  • The ability to maintain an Australian Defence security clearance.
  • Trade qualifications in communications or network/HF engineering would be highly desirable.
